Douglas Hutton is a Landscape Artist whose work depicts large skied studies of remote and rugged Irish landscape as well as images of Irish life such as Turf Cutting and Horsefairs. He lives and works in Co. Fermanagh.

Scottish born, and trained at Edinburgh College of Art under R. Phillipson, E. Blackadder and D. Peploe, his work is influenced by the Scottish Colourists and Irish Artists Yeats and O'Connor.

His paintings, based on a range of sources including observation are emotive, vibrant and expressive responses to the subject matter.
